At Garden Studios, we specialize in transforming homes to fit our clients’ lifestyles. Our latest project involved updating a charming two-bedroom Edwardian weatherboard in Melbourne’s south-east for Moya Delany, an artist and lighting designer, and her restaurateur husband Jason Buesst. They live here with their 14-year-old son Monty and their dog Lucy.
Our Work
Moya and Jason wanted a flexible space in their backyard, so we built a bungalow studio with a minimal, open-plan design. This new addition can serve as an art studio, guest house, or anything else they need.
We also updated their home with:
- A refreshed bathroom
- New cupboard doors and benchtops in the kitchen
- Limewashed floors throughout the house
Favorite Spaces
The family loves their high-ceilinged kitchen and dining room, decorated with meaningful art and souvenirs that make their house truly feel like home.
The Neighborhood
Located near Caulfield racecourse, their neighborhood exudes charm with horses often running by, reminiscent of the classic film International Velvet.
Looking Ahead
While they dream of adding a swimming pool, their immediate plan is to replace their old fence.
